Optical fiber is an industrial glass fiber, a conductor (transmitter) of light or part of its spectrum, which, compared to wire fibers, allows for much faster and larger data transmission. Its advantage lies in the fact that it transmits signals at the speed of light. An electrical signal to be transmitted in the fiber is converted into an optical signal and vice versa.
